We figured we'd take a page from Writing Anime Blogs: For Baka Onii-Chan-Tachi and give our first impressions on a few series that have come out.
Shokugeki no Souma / Food Wars: Shokugeki no Souma
D.K.: Kofuku Graffiti grew up and became more ecchi, I see... Iron Chef meets Kill la Kill, and it's downright awesome. I have a feeling that this is going to be in my Top 5 come season's end.
The Jake: I think I was right to look forward to this one. This show is ridiculous, in a good way. Check this one out for awesome food battle action, orgasmic food tasting action, and equal opportunity fanservice (and disservice) action.
Aria: Talk about sexualizing food... And it's totally working! This is going to be very successful and enjoyable if it follows this trend throughout.
Dungeon ni Deai o Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka? / Is It Wrong To Try To Pick Up Girls In A Dungeon?
D.K.: J.C. Staff is on fire lately. Trying to make up for Fuun Ishin Dai Shogun, eh? On a very positive note: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka was made for the role of Bell.
The Jake: This one looks good. The first episode was hilarious and had plenty of action, as well.

W01F: Can't wait to see where this goes. Nice concept for the "adventurer" aspect. I'd take that goddess ;-)
Aria: Love the concept; feels fresh and unique. I find our main character quite adorable and can't wait to see what his crush is going to do as she obviously noticed him. Waiting for more episodes feels like torture.
Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machgatteiru. Zoku / My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU. Too
D.K.: OMG. Picked up right where it left off, and without a hitch. Studio Feel did a nice job updating the animation as well.
The Jake: The only thing that fans of the first season will need to get used to is the new style of animation. I personally like the new animation, as it is more detailed and has far more life like movements.
Owari no Seraph / Seraph of the End

Aria: This first episode is so heartbreaking but also intriguing. There is some action right away with enough story. I really can't wait to see how Yu develops and grows.
D.K.: Ferid be like...
Kekkai Sensen / Blood Blockade Battlefront
D.K.: "...La di la di dud, an ocean of blood. Let's begin the killing time..." I'm really digging this series. Cool heroes, a really cool villain, and mutants and monsters being a normal part of society, what's not to love?
Aria: Between Leonard, Libra, and Femt it's hard to tell where exactly this is going to lead. My interest was piqued the whole episode. Love the beauty and flow of the artwork too.
Houkago no Pleiades / Wish Upon the Pleiades
D.K.: Gainax is once again doing what Gainax does best; minus the epic boob jiggling because we're dealing with magical loli you sick fucks. Also, I friggin' love the engine sound effects on their... Hehe... Drive Shafts. Most appropriate considering that Gainax is producing this in conjunction with SUBARU. Yes, Subaru; as in THE CAR COMPANY. European and American car companies just make lame commercials and Japan's automakers now crank out anime... Just one more reason why Japan is superior.
More will be coming as we watch them, check back often! :D
